Q.What Is Wrong With My Rose ?

Zone UK | Lee.laver@icloud.com added on July 15, 2020 | Answered

Up to about 3 weeks ago this rose was blooming and healthy. We moved house and the leaves have almost all died. It is pitted alongside another rose that is showing no signs of distress. Both are in full sunlight although we ha e had heavy showers so soil is very wet. I hope you can help. I have taken off all leaves which was nearly all and attached separate image.

Thanks for sending the photos, it helps a lot! It sounds and looks like the soils in the pot are too wet. If the pot you have her planted in does not have drainage holes, then transplant her into a pot that does have drainage holes ASAP! Be sure to put some gravel in the bottom of the pot around the drainage holes so the water can drain out well. Too much water makes the soils lock up and not allow oxygen to get in thus drowning the rosebushes roots. So at this point I would recommend transplanting the rose bush to another pot or into the ground ASAP. Even if the current pot does have drainage holes, they may have become blocked. When it dries out and needs some water again, water her with some water that has a product called Super Thrive in it.
