This shrub is coated in these purplish berries with a white center, and little black seeds. Are they edible? Is it a sweet myrtle?

This does look like a myrtle (Myrtus) or a close relative (something else in the Myrtaceae plant family perhaps), but I'm not sure. What is your location?

Some myrtle fruit are edible, but to be sure you have the correct ID, you should check with a local plant expert.
