Please help me identify this prolific ‘weed’ and give natural solutions for preventing it from taking over my herb garden!

I cleaned up & tilled the herb garden 4 days ago and it looked beautiful. Will pull them today, but my first attempt with the hand cultivator tells me they’ve got a pretty strong root system.
