Also called fishbone cactus, your plant is an epiphytic cactus, and those are aerial roots. Those above ground roots are used in their native areas, such as a tree, for stability, and pull nutrition and moisture from the air. So, you might review your plant's needs and see if they are being met, since it is sending out more roots. Then if all its needs are being met, it shouldn't hurt to cut them off, but you can leave them if they don't bother you.
