It depends on your motivation. Some people garden for pleasure, growing ornamentals and other plants to enhance the beauty of their environment and also because it makes them relaxed and happy. Some grow veggies/herbs for consumption. Nothing is as satisfying as eating food grown in your own backyard. I also find my potted plants make excellent gifts for birthdays etc.

Try it. It's quite therapeutic.
