Q.What Is The Problem With Cistus X Purpureus Plants?
In 7/21 four cistus x purpureus shrubs were planted in the same yard, soil and watering schedule etc. Two are doing well and starting to bloom in 4/23. See Fig. 1. The other two are having problems. See Fig. 2.

It could be that this part of the yard remains more moist. These plants need zero watering after the first season. Being a xeriscape plant. it prefers poor, dry soils. They are prone to disease if they are planted in moist areas.
I would be sure to hold off on feeding, and do not water, at all. You may want to use a fungicide on them, as well.
