Q.What is the best soil for yucca?

Zone Whiting New Jersey. Zone 7 | Cwellsnj added on June 16, 2019 | Answered

Cactus soil ok? What about the ph? I live in the pinelands of South Jersey where the soil is on the acidic end. My plants were offshoots I received from a friend. Her plant is gorgeous. This I’m really hoping will revive.

Cactus soil is thinking in the right direction, though they don't really like acidic soil. You will have to "sweeten" it with dolomitic lime, and it should flourish.

This article will give you a better idea of what kind of soil these plants like: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/ornamental/foliage/yucca/soil-for-yucca-plants.htm
