What Is The Best Shape For Spirea Bushes?

I have two small,young spirea bushes. They are blooming for the first time. I want to trim them back, but wonder what the best shape should be?

It's best to keep them in their natural shape, i.e., don't shear them like a boxwood. Deadhead the blooms by cutting the tips back. Some people like to shape them into a round shape, like in the instructions below:
