Q.What Is The Bearded Iris In Your Article About Growing Those Plants?
Hi, please can you tell what the iris in your picture and the top of your article ” German Bearded Iris: Tips For Growing German Iris” is. It is the only picture I’ve ever found that looks like mine and I’ve been searching for years! I attach your picture and one of mine of these fully purple, non-frilly, irises that have pure white beards. Thank you.

Your iris is different from the one in our photo. Your iris has a different color standard and falls and the one in our photo is all the same color. I did try to find the photographer's photo in case it was named.
I have found one that looks closer to yours but I still don't think it is the right one. Your iris has slimmer falls than this photo. I've looked at all the photos on the Historic Iris website that have white beards and this is the closest. It also resembles the Eleanor Roosevelt photo. You can look in the gallery on the American Iris Society if you have not already.
