Q.What Is Splitting Lesion On A Citrus Tree Bark?

The tree is young, one year in the ground. The lesion is dry.

This can happen for a few reasons. Unfortunately, your photo did not come through, so I cannot assess the damage.

Mechanical damage is my first suspect. Being too dry, then being watered too much can cause cracking as well.
