Zucchini Suddenly Split Down the Side

lunadee177 added on May 30, 2015 | Answered

What is making my zucchini suddenly split down the side? I have been harvesting zucchini for a month or so and getting lots of beautiful zucchini. Then all of a sudden in the last few days, I have found the smaller zucchini split down the side and don't know what is causing this. Also, the zucchini are getting lumpy instead of a smooth skin. I do also have the mildewy leaves and need to know what is causing that.
