This appears to be related to ginger, whether it be a young ginger plant, or a wild inedible relative. This can be confirmed with a smell test. The root should smell astringent and similar to ginger. Thank you Bush Doctor.
This morning I woke up with the palm of my hand cut up, irritated and red.
I was more determined than ever to identify it.
So, I did a more extensive search and found out it is a Flame Lily.
Gloriosa superba. The whole plant is a skin irritant.
I appreciate your help.
Thank you.
