what is causing my red caladiums to break at the stem?

I’m not sure if it is an insect or animal, but everyday there are about 20 leaves laying on the ground that have been broken off at the stem. Other than that the plants are healthy.

Can you include a photo? It is likely that they are being walked through by some animal. A photo will help me to confirm the nature of the issue at hand.
