Q.false sunflower leaves turn yellow and curl up
What is causing my false sunflower leaves to turn yellow and curl up? Inside the curled leaves are small black eggs, and I found a worm on one leaf. I do not want to spray them with anything that will kill birds, however. The flowers will not be blooming for a week or so.

It would appear that eggs have been laid in your plant leaves.
I understand wanting to protect all the beneficial insects, bees and birds.
Neem Oil would be a good treatment.
