What is a good companion vegetable garden book?

I saw this book on Barnes and Noble website and don’t know if it’s a good book. It’s called Great Garden Companions: A Companion-Planting System for a Beautiful, Chemical-Free Vegetable Garden by Sally Jean Cunningham. It was published in 2000. Do you know a good book for companion gardens?

Also, do you know a good paring vegetable book, i.e. planting marigolds with tomatoes or garlic with roses? Like what complements the other. What will protect the other?

Many times you can find reviews of the books by people who have purchased the books.
This can help you determine if the book was helpful to others.

I also would recommend visiting your local library. They may have a good selection of garden books for you to read prior to purchasing them.
They can also order many titles if they may not have it personally in their building.

Also your local garden centers or greenhouses may sell gardening books. Businesses that are located in your own area are likely to stock books or information that is appropriate to your growing zone.
