What if I cut back my elephant ears in spring?

I just want to know if I cut back my large elephant ears back like was supposed to do in winter will they still stay large because someone said they would only be small??

You are in zone 8b, so depending on your cultivar, you may need to mulch or cover your elephant ear for winter. There's really only one way to tell for sure how this will turn out, and that is to wait and see. There are so many variables. Here's an article for you:
