I am happy to have found this site. Is there a charge to get an answer?

Arlene, we are happy you found us and no, there is no charge to get an answer. Our advice is free!
A ceiling fan is a good way to give plants the good ventilation and air flow they need to be happy and healthy. Your choice of plants, however, really hinges on how much light they would receive in the location you are proposing. I have listed links below for plant choices based on low and medium light situations (since I figure your plants will be in the middle of room and not near a window).
