Q.herbs to get rid of fruit flies
What herb plant or plants can I grow indoors to help get rid of and keep away fruit flies? I want to get a rectangular planter with a few herbal plants to fit on my kitchen windowsill and help repel fruit flies. Every September we get a bunch of annoying fruit flies and I constantly have to trap them. I keep don’t buy any fruit this time of year because it attracts them and I hate putting my tomatoes in the fridge. Also, when my husband and I sit and relax in the evenings after dinner, we have a couple beers and have to keep the drinks covered or fruit flies sit on the lids. Which herb do you suggest?
Basil, Lavender, Mints, and Lemon Grass all may have some effect in repelling fruit flies.
