What else must I do to get my 7yearold fig tree to fruit?

My fig tree produced a few fruits and in the last 7 years nothing …last year I transplanted it to a continer its gotten better but no fruit I am in Miami florida….Help…I was told to feed it 5/10/5…what do i do figless in miami!
