Q.What Does This Sentence Mean? “Trim The Cut Ends Of The Azalea Stem Cuttings Just Below A Point Of Leaf Attachment.”
This is confusing. If I substitute “cut” for “trim” I get ” cut the cut ends of the azalea stem cuttings.” Does this mean cut off the end of a stem and then cut the freshly cut end a second time, just below a leaf attachment? And then remove the leaves from the bottom (cut) end?

Precisely. This ensures a fresh, clean cut for rooting. This gives it the best chance, possible.
