I pruned my indoor hydrangea, what do I do now?

Is that a gift plant? Do you know what kind of hydrangea it is? Different types take different pruning action. Many gift plants are the big leaf hydrangeas with round balls of flowers. They bloom on previous year's growth, so it's important not to prune if the next year's buds are visible.

If you want to keep it in a pot, place it outside in morning sun and keep it watered. Ideally, they do better planted in the ground. You can keep it outside year-round whether planted inground or in the container.
