Q.What Could Be Causing Dead Blossoms On Sweet Cherry Tree?
I’m not sure about the variety of sweet cherry.Its a huge tree now blooms like crazy every year. Every year even before they open. You can tear them open and the pistil is black and dead. Almost 90 percent or more. Every year this happens. Some years it blooms and we get no hard freezes even close to time for them to open and still all dead. I’m just lost for words. Would you have any idea what could be causing this? Thank you

It could be a brown rot blossom blight which is a common cherry disease. Apply a fungicide right before the blossoms open. Here is more:
