What can I plant that will look good all year and flower? I want to plant something next to my mum’s grave that will look nice all

year and flower. It will have to like the sun as it will get very sunny in the summer; it cannot grow too big, but we could cut it down. We would like something evergreen, so when it finishes and dies off it still looks something;

Look for a broadleaf evergreen for sun such as mountain laurel or abelia.
