Gardening Know How Questions & Answers - https://questions.gardeningknowhow.comMy irises are way over due to be transplanted and pulled apart but it’s spring and I know this is supposed to be done in the summer. They’re so clumped together I doubt they’ll bloom this year.

I am in a similar situation! Winter came early last year and I was not able to divide my iris. Warm weather over the last month have sent my iris 6 to 8 inches out of the ground. I am going to dig mine up and make the divisions now instead of waiting until they are done blooming.
I would rather make the planting moves now and lose the few blossoms then wait. The most recommended time to divide is after blooming.
