What Can I Do to Get Sweeter Peaches on My Peach Trees

The very first year my peach trees grew fruit, they were ridiculously sweet. I have never had peaches so sweet before. But the last 4-5 years they seem to be losing their sweetness. The fruit is getting smaller with each year, as well. What do I need to do to get a better quality fruit on my trees?
