The way I have gotten rid of woodchucks is using a Have a Heart trap.
Set the trap in your yard near where they have been seen. Place a cut up carrot, some dark green lettuce, and cut apples in the trap to attract them.
After they are caught, bring them at least 4-5 miles away from your yard in an area that has some woods, but not around other homes. Just open one side of the trap and they will bolt.
You have a lot because they are nesting somewhere in your yard. Check
for holes that go under your shed, deck, or garage.
If you can block the areas where they are getting in with large stones or wire mesh pressed down into the dirt, that will also help. You can go online to find a Have a Heart trap. Hope this helps
