Q.What are white worms in roots

Zone King's Sutton, Banbury | RichardLee added on June 24, 2015 | Answered

We have found a white worm in the root of a runner bean plant. There are several plants which look a bit “sad” with leaves pale and yellow. I have read about diatomaceous earth to treat. What would you recommend please?

It does sound like you have encountered the root maggot.
