What are the two overly large fronds on my Sago Palm?

Three years ago, I purchased a 10″ tall potted Sago Palm from the Garden Dept of Home Depot. It is kept in my office at work under florescent lights that are on at least 12-hours per day. I water it not more than once per week and fertilizer about once per month. I rotate it 90-degrees at each watering for even lighting. A few weeks ago, two new fronds appeared that have now grown twice as big as the older fronds. The individual leaves are much further apart than on the older fronds and are a much lighter green with un-curlling brownish tips. They look cool and all, but what are they and what should I do with them?

The very long leaves typically indicate that the plant is not getting enough light. It will stretch its leaves out (or become leggy) in an effort to try to get more light.
