Worm-like things found in potted plants are most likely to be symphylans. This article will tell you more. https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/plant-problems/pests/garden-symphylan-small-white-worm-like-bugs-in-the-soil.htm
I would recommend you take some samples of your little visitors to the county extension service. They will be able to tell you for sure what they are, and what is available in your area to treat them. This link will help you locate the nearest office: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/garden-how-to/info/what-is-extension-service.htm
