Gardening Know How Questions & Answers - https://questions.gardeningknowhow.comI have just taken up gardening this year. I use mainly pots. I have found small orange and blue seed like pellets in new compost and older compost. I don’t know if they are problem or not. Could you please enlighten me as my present knowledge of gardening is not great.
Thank you. John Lorimer.

It sounds like this is some oil remains of potting soil; they may be fertilizer pellets that was in the potting mix.
