Q.What are the black spots on the leaves of my trees? It seems to be spreading to my plants also.

Zone 16417 near Erie PA | Anonymous added on August 25, 2019 | Answered

The bark on my tree’s branches have either gray or a very light lavender it really looks unhealthy.?
Also we somehow have moss now growing in our yard, which seems to be trying to grow on our Lilac trees. I have scraped it off at times with a flat small stone, but what worries me is that it takes the bark off of the trees!
What do we need to do? And who do we call? I have no photos. I already signed
up for e-mail.?

Thank You for any help you can give!!

It could be black spot fungus on your trees and plants. You need a fungicide to treat those. I've included an article with more information. I've also included an article about preventing moss on plants.
