Renewing my flower beds & need to know what perennials to plant in the fall.

Without knowing more specifics, that is a difficult question to answer. Please expand the question to include: Height, spread, evergreen/deciduous, clumping/hedge/border, blooming/variegated leaves, exposure to sun, soil type, water, and maintenance level.
