What Are Black Spots on Hibiscus Buds and What Do I Do About Them?

I have a beautiful hibiscus and all of the sudden I have black things on the buds. I live in Alabama.

It sounds like you have sooty mold. Sooty mold thrives on the honey dew created by bugs like aphids. If you control the aphids, you will also be able to control sooty mold.
