Q.weigela

simbarb added on June 3, 2012 | Answered

My weigela used to flower like no one’s buisiness, but for the last two years plenty of foliage and zero flowers. Always pruned after flowering with great results. Is it time for the shredder to come out?

It may need pruning. This article should help: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/ornamental/shrubs/weigela/pruning-weigela.htm

Adding phosphorus to the soil, like bone meal, can also help encourage additional flowering.
