Weeping Pussy Willow Tree Planting

Question

We just bought our daughter an established weeping pussy willow tree for her birthday to put in her yard. It is in a container and it is approximately 6′ tall. We are going to plant it in a few days, so can you tell me the best way to do this? What do we need to plant the tree (i.e. fertilizer, compost, how big to make the hole it will go in, and how much water do we add after the planting)?
