Weeping Chinese cherry tree

Transplanted last fall, and it had very few blooms this spring. It just now showing some suckers starting to grow. Will this tree make it? How long will it take to recover?

Test the branches of the tree. Do they bend or snap off?
Dead branches will break.

Scratch the bark. Healthy live tissue will look green.

Remove the suckers, these are growing from the root stock.

If you see no signs of life, the tree leafing out, it may have died off.

Make sure you water a newly transplanted tree for the first year until it is established.
