weeping cherry

i bought the tree from a catalog company and it came as a small thin plant. it is growing well this year and i wanted to know how to shape plant to grow taller as my tree seems to be spreading over just 10″ off ground

Pruning should only be done when the tree early spring or late fall, when the tree is dormant.
