Q.Weeds

There is a nasty vine type weed that started growing in plant beds all over my parent’s property. This thing grows up straight on a skinny stem, has small leaves that are spaced approx 3-4 inches apart. It then wraps itself around everything it possibly can…plants, fences, etc. After time it develops little berries, which die and then these hanging pod type things develop. We’ve tried pulling out roots and basic Roundup, but this thing is tough and is popping up everywhere. I’m sorry I don’t have a photo of it right now. Any idea what this weed is called?

I have tried to identify this plant from your description but have not had much luck.

An image would greatly help.
