Q.Weed Or Grass
I’m starting to have quite a few strings of the vegetation pictured on the attached photo. Can anyone identify it and tell me how to get rid of it? It is on my St. Augustine lawn.

That does resemble centipede grass (Eremochloa ophiuroides) quite a bit. You are going to want to approach this in a persistent manner. If it looks like you can hand pull the established patches, that would be a good start. What you can't pull will have to be killed differently. Once you get what you can removed, you can start to kill off any surviving root systems.
I'd try boiling water, first. You can pour boiling water on the survivors a few times. Maybe do it again the next day for good measure. If there are still survivors, then you will want to solarize it with clear plastic. This will kill off just about anything. As a last resort, you can use non-selective herbicides. This is the most damaging method, but it is very effective.

Unfortunately, no matter how you go about it, (Besides pulling it) you are going to be killing off a little of your St. Augustine. But reseeding or replugging will fix that.
