Q.Web on our crape myrtle

Zone Houston Texas | Paditle added on June 27, 2015 | Answered

I have a web on my crape myrtle that is quite extensive. It’s in 3-4 branches and extends a good 4 feet in height up into the tree. The web is silky and whitish looking and even covers the smaller part of the branches. It’s hard to see in the picture but thought it may help to identify.

Thank you for the second picture and I do think a closer inspection will determine if this is a spider or spider mites.
