Gardening Know How Questions & Answers - https://questions.gardeningknowhow.comthe house on the market. Could we put in a pot for the winter and keep it in good light, and then replant once we move? Or should we try to transplant it to our son’s yard now in the fall and then dig it up again in a year or so? We live in Medina County in Northern Ohio.

Here are some tips for transplanting. Usually spring is the best time to move roses, but since you are moving, I think I would go ahead and plant it at your son’s house until you are ready for it.
