Q.dogwood won’t bloom or grow

We have a dogwood planted in our front yard. It was planted in early spring 1999. Our property sits on shale. We have great grass but our dogwood won’t bloom and has grown very little. Is there a specific nutrient that this tree needs?

I would recommend getting a soil test, which you can acquire courtesy of your local extension office. The results of the soil test will indicate the type of fertilizer you need, as discussed in the following article:
