Severe Frost and Leaves on Crepe Myrtle Are Dead

We have had these trees for over 12 years. This has never happened before. Should we cut them down or wait and see?

This article should help you with that: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/plant-problems/environmental/tips-for-saving-cold-damaged-plants.htm

Minor pruning may be necessary depending on the damage, but I would wait until it's safe to do so in case of another cold snap. This article should help with that as well: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/ornamental/trees/crepe-myrtle/best-crepe-myrtle-pruning-time-when-to-prune-crepe-myrtle.htm
