Q.Watermelons

Anonymous added on July 10, 2015 | Answered

We moved into a place about 3 months ago and there were already watermelon plants here. We have tried to take very good care of them and water them regularly. We really aren’t sure what kind of melons they are and we aren’t sure what to look for when they are ripe. We have over 50 growing now. We have read that they are ripe when the tendril turns brown and the bottom of them turn yellowish. . . we have picked a couple that were like that and they are still green inside. Can you tell me anything else that might help us figure out how to know when to pick them?
