Gardening Know How Questions & Answers - https://questions.gardeningknowhow.comI am growing a “black” variety of watermelon. The fruits are small and greenish-black, and the contact point is already dark yellow before the fruit is ripe. I can’t use typical indicators for ripeness (darkening rind, white-to-yellow spot, etc). How do I tell when to pick them? The crop was badly damaged by a hail storm and is just now bouncing back, so counting days won’t necessarily be accurate. Help!
