Watermelon leaves were eaten by squirrels

My watermelon plant had an unfortunate run in with some squirrels who decided to eat about half of the plants leaves.

Its a new plant, no flowering yet. So I have a few questions as I am a new gardener.

(this one may be a little dumb to ask) Will the leaves grow back?

Will the plant not having leaves ruin the chance of getting watermelon?

Any advice helps! I’m also having the same issue with my cucumbers and zucchini (squirrels ate the leaves too)

It will most likely survive the squirrel attack and produce fruit if you can keep them from coming back and damaging more
