Q.Watering Veggie Plants In Garden

Anonymous added on August 15, 2021 | Answered

We have several butternut squash plants in our garden and been having a dry spell (no rain). I’m wondering when we water them should we just be watering where the plant was originally planted (meaning the roots) or should we also be watering the vines growing out?

The entire soil area should be watered, as the roots extend far from the crown.
