Gardening Know How Questions & Answers - https://questions.gardeningknowhow.comI have a desert rose in a bonsai pot in the best window in the house. I’m very good with plants, but cannot figure out the best watering approach for this plant. It puts off leaves, but the tips eventually turn brown. I water it sparingly about every three weeks. I watered it more frequently at first, but it nearly died. Is the best approach trial-and-error until I find the right schedule?

The problem might not be so much the watering, but the soil. If it is in normal potting soil, the soil may be holding onto too much water.
I would recommend using a cacti & succulent soil mix, or at least mixing in a good amount of sand into the potting soil it has now.
