Gardening Know How Questions & Answers - https://questions.gardeningknowhow.comI have a clematis and small hydrangea. They are each in a large container on my patio and cannot be moved. The problem is my patio has a roof over it so they do not receive any rain but I water them regularly and they are doing great. I was wondering what to do in the winter time. Should I water them once in awhile or stop watering if it is freezing? I don’t want to kill them but I do not know how to water in the winter. I hope you can help me.

Yes, you will need to provide water until the plants go dormant.
