Q.Watering Outdoor Figs over Winter
I have a first year Peter’s Honey growing beautifully in 7b. I was told to wait until it is dormant, cut back by half, then overwinter in burlap, dry leaves, chicken wire, tar paper or tarp, and a bucket on top. Do I water while it is in this state, or do I leave it alone until spring? My concern is the leaves piled in for insulation will get wet, and this can start problems?

You won't need to water during the winter period. Dormant trees generally don't need watering unless there is an extreme drought.
